May 29th, 2025: The E-VO, Honda’s first electric motorcycle, was unveiled for the Chinese market today. The motorcycle is available in two variants: a 4.1 kWh variant offering a range of 120 km, priced at 30,000 Chinese yuan (approximately ₹3.56 lakh).
Its 6.2 kWh variant provides a range of 170 km, priced at 37,000 yuan (around ₹4.38 lakh in Indian currency).
Developed in collaboration with Wuyang-Honda, the E-VO combines retro café racer styling with modern electric performance and technological features, marking Honda’s entry into the electric motorcycle segment.
Both variants are powered by a 15.8 kW (21 hp) electric motor, allowing for a top speed of 120 km/h. In terms of technological features, both models include integrated dashcams.
The entry-level model has a front dashcam, while the top-spec version is equipped with both front and rear dashcams. The E-VO is expected to make its debut in India in three to four years, as Honda plans to establish a dedicated electric motorcycle production plant in India by 2028, near its existing two-wheeler manufacturing facility in Narasapura, Karnataka.
