Ahmedabad, 26th May 2025: Matter, an Ahmedabad-based electric start-up, has tackled the problem of battery longevity by providing new owners of its Aera-equipped electric motorcycle with an unlimited “lifetime” battery warranty.
In addition to addressing battery longevity and replacement costs, the company wants to make owning an electric motorbike easier so that customers don’t have to worry about what to do when their bike is two to three years old and nearing the end of its battery life.
According to Matter’s founder and CEO, Mohal Lalbhai, this Lifetime Battery Warranty is our way of letting you know that we’ve got your back. “It’s a bold step, but it’s built on bold innovation. We are dedicated to making the transition worry-free because we want more people to embrace electric,” Lalbhai stated.
The motorcycle has a liquid-cooled battery installed by the core team at Matter, which ensures reliable performance even in hot conditions. The management has the assurance that it can handle the diverse terrain and weather conditions of India thanks to the company’s vertically integrated manufacturing approach, which involves building key components in-house, such as the battery pack and the battery management system.
A representative for the company added, “The new warranty covers the battery for the entire lifespan of the vehicle, a first in India’s electric two-wheeler segment.” The company is working to increase the appeal of EV adoption.
