Reliance Industries, India’s largest conglomerate spanning technology and textiles, is reportedly negotiating with OpenAI and Meta Platforms to sell its AI solutions. According to a Reuters report, potential partnerships are in advanced stages.
According to the report, one possibility being considered is a collaboration between Reliance Jio and OpenAI to distribute ChatGPT.
Furthermore, OpenAI has been discussing lowering the subscription price for ChatGPT to as low as $20, making it more affordable than its current high prices. Reliance is also considering offering OpenAI’s models to its enterprise clients via an application programming interface (API).
Furthermore, the Mukesh Ambani-led company is looking into local hosting and operation of OpenAI models to ensure that local customer data remains in India.
Reliance has proposed using a three-gigawatt data center, which it plans to build in Jamnagar, Gujarat, as the world’s largest data center, to run the Meta and OpenAI models.
